Qualifying for the Abu Dhabi grand Prix at the Yaz Marina Circuit today was a close fought affair between Vettel, Hamilton and Alonso.
McLaren brought new wings to Abu Dhabi just for this Grand Prix which seem to be working as both Hamilton and Button were much more competitive finishing 2nd and 5th in Qualifying.

Vettel drove brilliantly in Qualifying to claim pole position, which is extremely important at the Yaz Marina Circuit where overtaking is difficult to say the least. However Alonso’s qualifying performance gaining third position on the grid may have just won him the Formula One World Drivers Championship as long as his Ferrari F10 has no mechanical problems and he finishes the race where he started.
Surprisingly Weber was for some reason off the pace during Qualifying today, finishing with a time that will get him no better than 5th on he grid. Unless he has a great start Webbers qualifying performance may well have cost him his championship hopes, although he has shown himself to be remarkably resilient during the season pulling off some great overtaking moves, so the start of the Grand Prix tomorrow will be all important.
Should be one hell of a race.
