Winning the British Grand Prix Mark Webber becomes the first driver to win three Grand Prix this season. However it is still the McLaren drivers Lewis hamilton and Jenson Button that lead the Formula One World Drivers Championship in first and second position.
Webbers first place finish in the British Grand Prix has put him back as a contender for the Formula One World Championship vaulting him into third position ahead of his team mate Sebastian Vettel who dropped to fourth place in the championship standings.

In the Constructors championship it is the same storey with McLaren still in first place although Red Bull is slowly closing in, with McLarens only 29 points ahead after this past weekends Grand Prix.
Ferrari’s bad luck continued at Silverstone. Mistakes and bad luck over the last two race weekends have been costly for both Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa and the Ferrari team’s championship hopes. While the team has definitely made improvements in the F10 with some competitors now believing that the Ferrari F10 is second only to the Red Bull Racing RB6 for overall race pace, the recent results haven’t reflected the improved performance.
However with some luck during the second half of the season it is possible that Ferrari could make it back to the top of the standings.
2010 Constructors Championship After British Grand prix
Confirmed teams for the 2010 seasonUpdated Jul 11, 2010
With eight drivers Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button, Mark Webber, Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, Nico Rosberg, Robert Kubica and Felipe Massa still mathematically in the race to win the drivers Championship, and 4 teams, McLaren, Red Bull Racing, Ferrari and Mercedes GP close enough to take the Constructors championship it should be a really exciting second half of the Formula World Championship season.
The Red Bull Racing RB6 is definitely the fastest car by far, so as long as the team continues to improve the cars reliability and can get their internal politics under control they should win the whole shooting match. Whether it will be Vettel or Webber claiming the Drivers trophy is anybody’s guess, both drivers are incredibly fast, it just seems to me that maybe Webber wants it a little bit more.
