British Grand Prix Preview Lap

by F1Fan on July 6, 2010

In the run up to the British Grand Prix Red Bull Racing just released a Video preview of one lap around the Silverstone Circuit circuit with Mark Webbers at the wheel of the Red Bull Racing simulator.

Webbers commentary as he takes us through the revised Silverstone circuit really gives great insight as to where the overtaking areas will be and which corners the drivers find most challenging.

Driving simulators are even more important to the teams for the British Grand prix as this will be the first Formula One race on the revised Silverstone Circuit. With only 3 practice sessions before the all important Qualifying session on Saturday afternoon you can bet that all of the drivers have been logging many hours in the teams simulators to get familiar with the new sections of track.

Last year Red Bull Racing dominated the Grand Prix with Sebastian Vettel leading every pre race session, claiming Pole position, the race win and driving the fastest lap of the race. It was a good day too for Mark Webber, passing Barrichello with a quicker pit stop on lap 20 to move into second place a position that he held for the remainder of the race making for a one-two finish for Red Bull Racing. last year the fight was between Red Bull abd Brawn GP (now Mercedes GP). This year the money is on Mclaren and Red Bull to be fighting for the win. With both teams claiming the British Grand Prix as their home event their is a lot of prestige on the line. Can Red Bull repeat last years performance will the resurgent McLaren team be able to claim their third one two finish of the season.

No matter what the outcome you can bet the british F1 Fans will be out in out in droves if the weather holds I bet the attendance record set last year will be history.
