Red Bull Racing British Grand Prix Promotion (Video)

With the British Grand Prix at the Silverstone Circuit only a week away promotion for the race is hotting up.

This time it was the turn of the Red Bull Racing Team who came up with the unique idea of running Mark Webbers RB6 around Parliament Square at the heart of Westminster in London during the friday morning commute.

Bet that woke up a few commuters as they made their way to work. When asked about driving on the public streets of London Mark Webber replied:

Yeah, it was really good! I really enjoyed that. Unique – as usual with Red Bull – doing things a little bit different. To drive an F1 car around Parliament Square, with Big Ben in the background and the boys practising a few pitstops, it was really cool.

Driving for the first time since his horrendous crash at the European Grand Prix Webber was happy to get back into his car and is looking forward to the British Grand Prix and racing again on the Silverstone circuit.

Last year Red Bull achieved a great one two finish and Mark is looking forward to repeating that result for the Team many of whom view the British Grand prix as their home race:

We’re keen to go out and get a phenomenal result again if we can – at every race we try to do that, but obviously this is a home race for many in the team and all the guys are pushing really hard to get the best result possible. Both Sebastian [Vettel] and I are very keen to try and get a similar if not exactly the same result as last year.

It’s (Silverstone) a sensational track to drive at, really good. The fans are really knowledgeable and there’s a lot of history there, and it’s one of the blue riband(ribboned) events to win the British Grand Prix – it’s one I’d love to have.
