F1 World Championship McLaren Cements Lead

Following the brilliant first and second place finish for Lewis hamilton and Jenson Button McLaren has cemented their lead at the top of both the Drivers and Constructors Formula One World Championship.

However it is still very close at the top with three teams, McLaren, Red Bull Racing and Ferrari all still very much in the fight for the 2010 championship honors. Mercedes is in fourth, but in order to really become a contender Michael Schumacher will have to improve his performance dramatically so that both Mercedes drivers are in the points at every race going forward.
