Spanish Grand Prix – Race Schedule

by F1Fan on May 4, 2010

The Spanish Grand Prix, Round 5 of the Formula One World Championship kicks off with the first Practice session of the race weekend this Thursday.

Spain marks the first Grand Prix of the European portion of the F1 season, held at the challenging Circuit de Catalunya just outside of Barcelona, where the mix of long fast straights, slow and fast corners, an abrasive track surface and windy conditions truly make it a test of car balance, car set up and driver skill. It is often said that if you have a car that can perform well on this circuit then you have a car that can be competitive for most of the Circuits on the F1 Calendar.

To get a good idea of what a lap of Catalunya is like watch the following video of Mark Webber in the Red Bull Racing simulator:

If like me you are interested in watching the Race the following table has the Speed Channel broadcast times for Friday Afternoon Practice, Saturday Qualifying and the race itself on Sunday.
