Bahrain Grand Prix Schedule

The Bahrain Grand Prix, round 1 of the 2010 Formula One World Championship will be held at the Bahrain International Circuit in Manama, Bahrain over this coming weekend from March 12 – 14.

For 2010 the Grand Prix circuit has been extended and is now configured using the inner and outer circuits with the addition of the endurance loop increase the circuit length from 3.36 miles (5.4 km) to 3.91 miles (6.3 Km).

Red Bull have released this great video which shows the simulator on which Webber and Vettel learn the new track layout for the up and coming Grand prix.

Circuit Statistics: 3.91 miles (6.299km); 23 turns (13 right, 10 left); four straights, the longest of which is almost 0.68 of a mile (1090m); a change in elevation of almost 60 ft (18m); and variation in width from 46ft to 72Ft (14m to 22m).

For those of you in the US, with Cable or Satellite, SpeedTV will be broadcasting the Friday practice, Saturday qualifying and the race itself.
