The second official Formula One test of the 2010 season kicked off today at the Jerez circuit in Spain.
Nico Rosberg in the Mercedes MGP-W01 topped the time charts at the first day’s testing at Jerez setting the fastest lap of the day while the conditions were still dry during the morning.

With Showers predicted many of the teams had little time in the dry before the rain arrived just around Noon. Mercedes, Toro Rosso and Williams were the fastest three teams all managing to get a good lap in the dry. At the other end of the time charts the effects of the weather were felt most by Virgin Racing, starting later in the day and only managing 5 laps in the wet before testing ended for the day.
