Valencia Tests ends with Ferrari On Top

by F1Fan on February 3, 2010

Ferrari continue to dominate the Test sessions finishing the third day at the top of the leader board yet again. This time the F10 was driven by Fernando Alonso setting the fastest time of all three days with a 1:11.470.

The BMW Sauber C29 back in the capable hands of Pedro De La Rosa continued to show strong pace finishing just behind the Ferrari once again. The team must be particularly pleased with this initial testing of their car and most likely surprised many of the more well funded teams such as McLaren, Mercedes GP and Renualt F1.

While the Williams FW32 bought up the rear of the pack, Nico Hulkenburg revealed that the team was workin on long run heavy fuel load testing so the cars lap times may not not be comparable to the other teams:

“We covered a lot of mileage today, which is good and allowed me to get used to the car, and my first impressions are all positive. We did a lot of long runs on heavy fuel loads which have given us a good baseline, but we need to keep on working.”

Today marks the end of the first test Session the next session will be held at Jerez beginning February 10th and ending on the 13th. This next test will have at least 3 more teams attending, namely Virgin Racing, Force India and Red Bull Racing.

Should be an interesting event.
