The first official test Day of the Formula One 2010 Season kicked off today at the Ricardo Tormo circuit just outside Valencia. The testing in Valencia will run for three days and is the first real opportunity for many of the teams to test the cars at race speed.

Pedro De LA Rosa in the ferrari engined BMW Sauber F1 C29 was the surprise of the day setting the second fastest time only two tenths of a second slower than Massa, with Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg setting third and fourth fastest times in the Mercedes MGP W01.
