Happy New Year Formula 1

by F1Fan on January 1, 2010

The 2010 F1 Season is set to bring a whole bunch of firsts to Formula 1

The first time a 7 time world Champion has returned to the sport after retiring.
The first American Based Team in over two decades
The first time 4 new teams have joined the F1 grid in one season
The first time two teams are owned by Billionaires with their own airlines
The first season without Max Mosely stirring the pot
The first season in over a decade without a Japanese Manufacturer participating in some form
The first Season in 9 years without the talented Kimi Raikonen
The first season for Mercedes to own its own team
The first time McLAren has had a team consisting of two back to back world champions.
The first time Lotus has returned to F1 (in name only) in sixteen years.
The first F1 cars to be developed without the use of a Wind Tunnel (Virgin Racing and maybe USF1)

I just can’t wait to see if all these first are going to add up to a great season of racing.
