For all of you out there that have a Formula One race fan in the family Soft Pauer has just released the ultimate F1 application for the iPhone.
Named the F1 Timing Application, which really doesn’t do it justice as it gives much more than just Lap time information.
This is truely one fantastic application for the true F1 Racing Fan. Imagine in the palm of your hand having the actual race data and being able to follow your favorite driver or team throughout the race and not rely on the Broadcast TV feed. See the relative positions of the drivers displayed on the Track map, check who is gaining or losing positions.
Get the Data for the entire field by Driver, showing Laptimes, Sector times, Gap to next position and which lap they are on.
This application will put a smile to your Father’s F1 fans face and wont break the bank either, what better way to watch the British Grand Prix on Fathers Day.

How much is this thing?
$7.99 for the basic version which includes Monaco Grand Prix, Turkish Grand Prix and also this weekends British Grand Prix. Then apparently you can purchase a Championship pass for the rest of the season The Championship pass is $32.99.
I purchased the basic version to try it out, viewing the data from the Turkish Grand Prix this is a really impressive software App.
A bit expensive in relation to many of the other iPhone apps, but I think the old adage that you get what you pay for definitely applies to the F1 Timing Application.
